Marriage |
My annual taxes on my budget is $9,925 because I was single and I had no children. My annual taxes became $18, 247 when I was married and I filed taxes with my wife. My taxes went up because when I got married my income went up, we did not add money to a 401(K), and we are also still living in an apartment so we couldn’t use a mortgage as a deduction.
I then changed the number of children on my taxes with my wife and it became $16,122. My taxes went down because I counted my two children as a deduction.
