My annual taxes on my budget is $9,925 because I was single and I had no children. My annual taxes became $20,272 when I was married with two children. Even with the deductions I get to make my taxes still went up. My taxes went up because when I got married my income went up, we did not add money to a 401(K), and we are also still living in an apartment so we couldn’t use a mortgage as a deduction.
